Installation Steps

  1. Remove the existing components

Work carefully and keep track of screws. Remove these parts in order:

    • Original brew paddle
    • Top tray
    • Top panel under the tray (leave the final screw that secures the circuit board)
    • Top panel above the brew head
  2. Install the new brew paddle

Thread the blue cable through the gap between the group cover and machine body, letting it rest inside. Important: Don't overtighten the screws — snug is enough to prevent paddle damage.

  3. Connect the sensor cable

Locate the blue connector head and insert it into the sensor socket. Push until you hear a click — that's how you know it's locked.

  4. Secure the cable to the brew lever

Use a cable tie to attach the cable to the metal brew lever. Test the paddle movement — the cable should have enough slack to move freely without stretching.

  5. Mount the sensor

Position the sensor on the solenoid valve and secure it with a cable tie. Make sure it sits flush and won't interfere with other components.

  6. Connect the power wires

Remove the final screw holding the circuit board. Insert the two power wires into the 1st and 3rd sockets from the top. Cable color doesn't matter — black can go in either socket.

  7. Test before closing up

Power on your machine and test the timer. Pull the paddle and verify the timer starts and stops correctly. If everything works, power off and let the machine cool. Use a cable tie to secure the sensor cable to the teflon pipe for a clean finish.

  8. Reassemble your machine

Replace the top panels and tray in reverse order. Take your time to ensure everything sits properly.
